The outside en inside of old churches are often impressive. Making an impression on the visitors was often a purpose of this. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I incidentally looked upwards. And I was surprised to see interesting views, as varied and beautiful as the rest of the church. That was quite a discovery to me and the origin of this series on Looking upward.
And thinking about this: looking upwards is not only something to do with our eyes, but also with our. heart.
